Have you any way to heat up some water and a hot water bottle you could fill.

I really hope you can find a way to keep them warm and someone here has some ideas

Agathae was running around waving "Hatch Or Else" flags. Sigh. This year she seems to have relented on that, but she's now bragging to her Beakbook followers about her sponsor, Batty Ol' Hens. Check your chicken's nests. There may be a bottle or two of it there.

I thought I saw Samara burying a little glass bottle earlier today...she must have finished the brew Morinth had started! Or...she ordered more?

I didn't get a pic of the other four but they were up by the door so they were well out of peckin range from Samara.

I put a warm blanket over them. Luckily the power just came back in.

If you've got a can of tuna that's for human consumption, then get that, open it, pour it into a bowl after draining the broth, then mix with plain yogurt and eat, cold or room temperature.

How about on a bagel? Or crusty bread??

I do, but I don’t trust Willow enough to let her hatch out eggs. She and I had a bad experience last summer.

She will be raising the chicks though

Put a blanket over the incubator to keep it warm in there. Resist the urge to look. Mama hens get off the nest all the time - even when they pop - Henny trotted out last Nov when hers pipped to have a drink and a poop. Freaked me out but they were fine.

Okay, well I’m going to bed.

Fingers crossed for some healthy chicks in the morning. And fingers crossed the Ayam egg 3 hatches or pips!

Another reason that I wouldn’t want to put the eggs under her is because it’s pitch black outside. It’s 9:30 PM. If Willow and I didn’t have an awful experience with her hatching out eggs, I would be more than happy to walk outside at dark and put the eggs under her.

I think that she may have killed a chick trying to help her out of her egg last summer. I’m not positive, but I think that’s what happened. She had about six eggs I think, and only one hatched (I think that’s the one she killed) all the others were developed though. She did an awesome job raising TSC chicks though.
