You’ve seen that in person? I’ve seen it in videos and stuff, but never in person. I would be horrified. And I could not imagine trying to get a halter like that off of a horse that is undoubtedly unhandled. There are such awful people in this world, and then there are people who are amazing and kind. I don’t like very many people because most people around where I am from are pieces of crap, to put it nicely…

Awe, my plane is delayed a bit. It’s bad enough that the layover is two and a half hours, but now the plane is gonna be a bit late.

Generally we have to get the horse inside a stall or very small pen, tranquilize it and cut the halter off. Then keep it in the pen/stall until it heals up. Not fun. And very dangerous!

I'm a bum for watching youtube with a ad blocker, according to google.
Last year I was watching youtube, and I got all those "You have three videos left" notices.

Well, today I just realized: Thumbnails have not been loading right, and I've had to refresh pages to get the video to load right. I've heard they are doing that to users with ad blockers.

Google, you are a terrible company. I only use your phone because I unlocked the bootloader, and I only use your services because youtube is the only place to watch decent videos.

On desktop, install Tampermonkey and then search "adblock thing" and install that. You'll get little flashes in the video where it skips ads, occasionally shows a frame or two but it works. On all three of my computers right now.
When running youtube, hit the addon/mod button and load tampermonkey, refresh and the site will work. I have my other adblock disabled for youtube now.

I'll be sporadic posting for a few weeks or maybe the rest of summer. Kiddo wants to start school (she's only 3!!!) So we're doing very simple homeschooling a few days a week, then the rest of it is practical skills like gardening and lots of outside time.

"progress" . They want to destroy a park that, as far as I know, migrating birds use just to put a stupid freeway we don't need there.

I may do that if it gets annoying enough. Ads are still being blocked and what not, and I can deal with the thumbnails vanishing. I'm just annoyed with the fact that everything is degrading to a quality of rubbish. Ok, tax will be coming.

I wouldn’t give her any more than 4 eggs she is small like Henny and 4 was her limit.

Mark the eggs you get, 1, 2, 3, 4. Then shove them under her.
Count 19 days (usual for small eggs), and taadaa! Eggs hatch.

What breed of eggs are you giving her? Do you have a plan for the Roos that will happen?

Silkie people (do we have only here on FBA?)

The silkie eggs I have my niece are at 20 days now.

3 of the 5 blue eggs have hatched and the remaining 2 have pipped.

So far none of the silkie eggs have pipped - ?

I have asked my niece to candle them tonight after school. What do you all think??

Ok update!

Seems those silkies are gonna give me stress - two have pipped finally.

Gosh I am just a wreck now after last night. I got complacent and I was stupid thinking everything would go great. It’s a hard reality check, esp with Larry having to be put down last week.

Just as stressful as having horses or kids.

Ok I am hopeful that the 5 silkie eggs all hatch safely and they all grow to be lovely pullets

Oh I doubt hubby will let me, he told me no about a free! Blue laced wyandotte rooster.
I have neighbors and family with roosters so if I asked I could get some barnyard mixes to put under her.

Rooster training is a tough job. I spent all night with Longitude (Tude the Dude) and it’s been a struggle getting him to do anything I ask for. He knows how to eat, and he knows how to poop,
But he teases the big girls, so I separated him from them for the night. They used to get along pretty well.
