And then there were 2.
Adele, Betty's chick is going to be trouble. Barely out of the egg and already pulling her siblings feathers.
Awwww, so chirpy. Who’s egg was that?

A nice black pullet for you ♥️

It came from a unmarked egg so from Poppet. My first of hopefully 6 Branchlet's.
What a set of lungs!

so no feathers or double toes on Adele, likely a Mr P chicky - can’t wait to see what sort of topknot she has when she dries!

I bet she will be splash marked ♥️😊

Good morning Marie and Alex - you’re up very early!

Look at these three snoozing ladies 😊

Last night….. they likely won’t get outside this afternoon with the storm warnings out.

Spraddle legged baby

I just took this video, it’s day 3 and a half for this chick, she hatched aboit 5am Saturday morning.

Can you try putting her in a really slender item (maybe a vase) that hold the legs down - you would have to kind of hold her in place since it would need to be too narrow for the whole body? Physio multiple times a day like that - (when you aren't working)

Yes, maybe wrapping the feet to get the toes to be proper - and exercising them (working them the 'proper way', bend toes/curl toes, etc. :idunno

I'm still a week behind - I hope s/he has continued to improve!

Good morning ♥️ Are you up early there? I am soooo tired but I better get cracking and get to work.

I’m home now. I have a lot of catching up to do with my chooks. It’s terrible hot here, and I am being very careful with my feathered friends. Poor Xzit is miserable. I bring her inside the house to feed her and cool her down. Her broody is making me crazy! Soon as I let her out, runs straight back into the coop! :barnie

If I had a few Cochin hatching eggs, I’d slip them under Xzit! Sadly Not to be found. :(
