Science has finally cloned a feather duster, and made it into an acceptable chicken breed! I’m impressed!

Randy update.

He is still here and I am still undecided on him. I have not been able to catch him again dang it. I can sit within arms reach and observe him but the second I move he bolts. He and Bubba still have their moments. Bubba is still the main aggressor and 90% of the time Randy retreats when he see's him coming. Actual fights have happened when Bubba charges and Randy does not see him coming, but they are still only lasting a few seconds. So far neither have drawn blood and Randy has lost each one. Bubba's comb has not turned purple again although Randy's was a little purple yesterday. Randy is spending about 90% of his time in the back yard now. He is definitely making it his home base. He will not sleep in the coop. He escorts the girls to the coop and then goes to Momma Hen's Tree. There is something special about that tree.

Most of the girls like Randy but there is one exception. Siri, my buff orp. She despises him and is proving to be worse then Bubba. Randy cannot even breed a girl in her presence. He mounts a girl and in a second she is in his face flogging and she does not let up after a few seconds like Bubba does either. All poor Randy wants to do is hide from that she wolf.

If she helps teach him to COURT the ladies, the good! Sounds like it's still a work in progress.

This just happened a few minutes ago. Poor Randy, just minding his own business. This is extremely mild compared to what Siri normally does. The she devil then headed back to Bubba who was watching. If he truly tried to win her over right then, Bubba would have been on him in a heart beat.

Pear did the same thing with one of the hormonal idiots...fast forward a week, and all she had to do was LOOK at him and he turned away....straightening his halo and twiddling his wing feathers.

Disaster...I didn't notice earlier but kiddo put the incubator all the way hot. It is 109 degrees F and has been for nearly 7 hours...are they cooked? Dangit I wish I had caught it earlier. maybe I'll get lucky
