How old is it?
I am not sure, they did not post a age in the add. I think it looks a couple weeks older then my chicks who are 4 weeks old. I can tell from the picture there is enough of a size difference that I would not feel comfortable housing it with my chicks. The silkies are just too little right now. Thanks to the reference pictures you posted I am not as worried about Adele. Her pompom is nice and rounded, not wild and crazy. That said, she is only 4 weeks and I do not know if being a mix she will hold true to that.

Little one, are you going to remain Adele or do I have a Julio on my hands.

Polish people,

In your experience is this looking like a rooster?

Don't have a lot of experience with crests, but that does have some of those wild things happening. Things 1 & 2 (while Houdan, the crests grow the same) NEVER had that sort of spikiness. They did have wild moments as they grew, but that's a bit much. Even so, another 2-3 weeks would make it unmistakable.

The pics you posted show a baby still needing head/upper neck feathers. I'm thinking 5-6 weeks on that one. I am seeing crest feathers doing that spread like in the ref pic Bob shared. Makes me more convinced it's a Polish Cockerel, gold laced.
