It’s 101f here but moisture in the air is even worse. Seems hotter than it is.
All my chooks are hiding under the foliage in the yard. I let it grow wild, so the younger ones will have a place to hide in.
Sorry about that. Happy that you have some bushes for your chooks. My older chooks love to spend their days dustbathing under the shady fig tree too.

I found an ad in Edmonton for $100 laptops, HP, Dell, Lenovo... I think Thinkpads were in the mix. Haven't been able to go to town lately, I haven't needed anything yet. Except for ice cream.

*This is the estate of LhickenChicken messaging. Lhicken did not make it.*
Ensure the thing is upgradeable and in good condition. If you can put at least 16GB of RAM and a SSD it'll be much better.

Pippy, sitting on my lap the other day.

While I was sitting in the run today during chickie snack time, a bit of rain came through. It absolutely poured down. Most of the chickens gathered around my feet.

"Momma, keep us safe from noisy rain monster...."
But as soon as I pull out the phone and take pictures, they scattered.

I really hope you all are right. I have saw pictures of half sisters and they are gorgeous. Yes I am hoping for a rooster, but a silkie rooster. I do think I have one even though it is way to early to know for sure. Mom agree's with me that Reba is giving off boy vibes. She looked at them the other evening and straight away picked it out and said, there is your boy. She was right with Ezzie, she had better be right this time around.

It is going to storm all day, so no play time for the chickies. If it was a normal rain shower I would take them out. In under 2 hours we are supposed to have severe storms. My spoiled babies are not ready for that. I also saw a add posted today that I hope my brother does not spot. Gold laced polish chick for sale sorta locally. I stared at the picture for a good 10 minutes pondering if I should show him. The crest has me a bit iffy though, from the side it is looking very rooster like and going every which way. Females are supposed to have a neat round crest right? No offense to Mr. P, but if I get another rooster I want it to be a Branch son not a Polish. I am also already heading into this thinking I am going to have 2 boys out of this group of chicks with Adele. Adele is insanely friendly and in my experience the ones that love me the most are boys.
Sweetie pie is a huge suck, she’s a pullet (better be hahaha), she loves to cuddle. From day one remember her making a nest in my hand ? Never say never ♥️

Meanwhile my two silkies are most likely boys 😢😢😢
