Another day of drama. I have an employee who is great at his job but argues against me for no particular reason. Maybe he feels privileged? I didn’t hire him because he had privilege, but for his talent on the job. Hard to imagine someone who acts like a child and still wants to work in an adult environment. :thI’m at a loss for what to do with him. I could easily just terminate his employment, but I’d rather find a way to change his mind set and keep him working for me. :idunno

Fires, flood and rising temperatures have made so many beautiful places difficult to live. I'm not sure how many of these fires, especially the giant ones in the US, are spontaneous or due to human stupidity / criminal gestures ? It's terrifying to think the damage a cigarette or a still smoking fire can do.
You are right I should not. If I do not try to help them I feel guilty which I should also not have to feel. These boys are also a liability to myself and my flock. With them being turned loose and not able to catch them all I can do is pray they are healthy and do not bring a disease into my own flock. Also I am the only person in my subdivision who has chickens and roosters. Both are allowed. I have kept a strict policy of no ill behaved boys, kept the number of boys down so no constant crowing. Well, now there are 2 boys who I have no back story on. I have no clue if they have ever shown human aggression in the past. If they do go after someone guess who the angry neighbor will come after? You guessed it, me. The neighbors are aware that they are cast offs, not boys I bought. They take up permanent residence in my yard with my flock though well, they do something stupid the consequences fall on me. I will try to help them as long as I can. They put my flock in danger or anger the neighbors my hands will be tied.
Thank you for trying. It makes me sad that people can do that to their roosters and it's not fair that you get caught as a result in emotional blackmail.

Thirsty Thursday
This is a repost but works well for thirsty Thursday. Merle drinking and cooling her feet.

We're getting a garage door delivered today. I'm forcing hubby to get out of work early so we can get it put away in the garage in case it rains. He's not too happy about it but it needs done.

Baby chick spam from last night.

Look at those faces!

I didn't know polish have shorter, more hooked beaks. Maybe that's just how they look with everything else going on with the v combs and puff feathers?

I will get pics of my adult ladies in a bit. They're currently taking turns checking chicks and laying eggs.
