Yaaaa she has it bad. Silly chooks - I wish we could talk to them. She is right there in with al the others. They are milling around her stealing the food she drops. She just badly wants to get back to her nest.
Same here. It would be nice to know what they're thinking.Yaaaa she has it bad. Silly chooks - I wish we could talk to them.
I'm so sorry, @LhickenChickenGoodbye my friend.
Yesterday I found out Aurora had a really bad prolapse. I tried to shove it back in but she had pooped in her body cavity. There is about an inch of guts outside her cloaca. She does not seem to be lethargic but since she pooped inside I am sure it will get infected. Also it may happen again. I got her inside the barn because the wasps were tormenting her. Today she will be put down because I don't have the heart to let her go on suffering, because, even though I put honey on her vent to keep it from drying out, she went and scratched around in the wood shavings and got wood shavings all over her guts.
Goodbye Aurora, my only Easter Egger.![]()
She'd have her Big Rooster drive it, I'm sure.Definitely the Bentley. She's that sort of classy.
The chuckle is for the Wonder Woman and all ten fingers comment - I wanted to put a big on for your hubby. Tell him rest and relax, it’s a good skill for a woman to know how to do thingsPositive progress. The wire walls are nearly done, just need the wire in the top half. The back walls need to finish being clad with the plywood. The door still needs wire and hung, but it's framed. We didn't insulate at all, but it's still going to many degrees warmer and cooler than the old metal building.

I'm really proud I've done most of the work outside of the framing. The doctor thought hubby had covid, but he tested negative. Then they said "atypical pneumonia". He's not coughing, no fever, and his chest x-ray wasn't bad. Pretty darn atypical if you ask me. But his chest is tight and he has some difficulty breathing, like mild asthma. His inhaler does nothing. But he's basically been holding things for me, wearing a N95 mask to filter out the dust while I man the saw and drill and such. He feels guilty. I feel like Wonder Woman! Who used a circular saw and still has all 10 fingers? This woman!
Tomorrow I hope to get the rest of the interior done and then it's on to hardware cloth covers on the windows and putting up the run.![]()
