I think I would only need it if I had several patients to deal with. I have a brooder/hospital built in already.
I didn’t think it was fit for broody jail because it has a solid floor and roof.

If something happens and you need 2 hospital rooms, you have something worked up, so don't need to panic on that point. It isn't something you want to need, but having it so you don't need it....

Awww. I didn’t do it just for Tassels. That broody cage has been pretty much continuously occupied all summer.
It really wasn’t that great. I think this is better.

I visited Tassels in jail when I went to close up. I like the new hanging jail - it puts her up on my level and lots of fresh air coming up from under her.
We have a few nights where it will be quite chilly at night. I am hoping the cold air will help snap her out of it.
She doesn’t look very impressed with me.

Yes. And it is sufficiently out of the way that I think I can just leave it there rather than folding up the dog cage and stowing it when not in use.
I am quite pleased with how it turned out. It does move a little but no real swing and much less movement than a big tree branch for example.

Glad it's working out so well. When Dad suggested a hanging bed to us kids, we exchanged looks thinking: he's bonkers, then thought about it a bit and thought: better than a hammock....then decided it sounded fun, but how on earth is he gonna make this happen? Didn't move as much as we thought but was easier to do than we thought too.

May it be successful in its current purpose.

I think since Babs died, Tassels is the #2 in the flock. Bernie definitely treats her with more respect than she does the others. Clearly I am supposed to do so also!

Xzit has not moved from her pancake posture on those eggs. I don’t think any of them will hatch, but for tonight she can stay with them. I won’t move her from there. Gonna be a long night I guess.
