Hubby has like...20-30 of those crates at his shop so dad is taking a trailer down to grab as many as he can. They'll be good raised planter beds...playhouse for kiddo, maybe even another coop space?
It's very rainy today of course. When I got the birds up Morinth and Samara were cussin about it I think!
Oh, to have rain.. I think I forgot what it is like to have rain ☔:hit

Morinth is sleeping with the adults tonight. The BOrps and Bab have all of the youngest snuggled in the nestboxes of the second coop from my quick glance while getting the door.

Coop 3 pics so far. I think I'll line it with the foiled bubblewrap too just to be safe from drafts.

Back and nest box. Will have 4 nest cubbies when done and curtains to give it a center "hallway"
Very nice! You are giving me ideas. I have two packing crates in the garage that I sort of use as workspaces - but they could be so much more!

Autumn sunsetView attachment 3949877Tomorrow plans: winterizing the coop.

They haven't tried the woodpile yet. When snow hits the ground, they're going to decide the pile is a great hangout spot.
Sunset looks like a water color! Your chickens go to roost looking at that beauty!

So, you must have been awarded it Sept. 5th (I think they have 90 day PFMs, and Oct. has 31 - so I am pretty sure that is how it works...not 100%, though)How about one fo the following:

'genetics Juggler'

Free Range FlockMaster

Wellspring of Wisdom
Level Roost (you have a level head - and all chickens roost ?:idunno?)

More whimsical:

Flight of the Feather

Feather Brain
(this is a GOOD thing - birds have much more brain capacity than we thought - they may have a small brain - but it has many more neural connections per sq. in than humans - hence their increase capacity to now/learn with a smaller sized brain!)

Nurturer of nature

Rubinus parva avis amantis
I love Featherbrain - but we already have a Featherhead, which raises so many questions!

Yes, "crossing the road' is one of the 'steps' based on points that they give you name wise.

I was thinking 'Chicken Whisperer', but, in reality, she should be 'Rooster/Cockerel Whisperer.' All the cockerels seem to gravitate to her.

Hmmm, maybe 'Roo Magnet'?

Cockerel Gravitator?:gig
Roo magnet - perfect!
