I have 10 hens. I'm getting one egg a day now. Soon it will be zero, when the last few start molting.

At that point, they are just my sweet girls. They get a vacation too.

I should have raised crabs instead.

It’s official. I have five useless hens.
The Rockettes are all in a stage of molt. Zebra feathers are everywhere. The little ones haven’t started laying yet. And I don’t expect any eggs from the roosters. So my little barnyard is out of business.

The Rock Garden needs a rest. The littles will start when they're ready. Meanwhile, enjoy handling the littles and practice HANDS OFF chilling with the Garden...IN the garden. Those pin feathers are uncomfortable.
