Your blow drier should only blow room temperature air. No heat ever.
We have hi-lo settings & use our hand to keep the air diffused as it blows on lo ~ been doing it for years. Had to practice on our 2012 Silkie who was inhouse wearing a diaper for several weeks & we had to rinse her tush clean a couple times a day. She loved blow drying & knew what to expect.

Mini loved our floor fan and tapped on the controls to let us know she wanted us to turn it on for her.

Not too sure about a chinook sweepimg across here every couple decades but I do know chinooks!

Most strange and awesome weather phenomenon. I have seen it -20C and a foot of snow at 6am and the wind will start up, just howling from the west, rushing down the mountains (the real Rocky Mountains), and as it does so it causes friction and the air warms up! By noon it’s +20C and by 2pm no snow and gorgeous!

Then the wind will stop and it get freezing cold again and snows!

If you’re am migraine sufferer like me it is pure misery. I spent a delightful winter in Sundry AB for pipeline project several yrs ago (pre-chickens), and I lived on Naproxen and tylenol #1s.

The people were lovely, the town amazing, my view from my office window of the mountains glowing pink from the sunrises was splendid, but I was so happy to leave due to my migraines.

He is a keeper!!!

65 yrs ago I was fascinated w/ Canada after receiving from a school librarian a gift of an autographed book "Mrs. Mike" (later made into a movie) & that's where I learned/researched the Chinook 20 yr phenomenon that sweeps blizzard conditions over the Canadian Northwest into upper parts of the USA. Supposedly that time brings the very worst snow storms.

I always wanted to vacation in the Pacific NW but the Ex took us thru Yosemite & Yellowstone instead. I guess old Faithful & the Buffalo were interesting enough ~ sigh. Not one chicken on the whole trip ☹️

Cruel showing me that lovely summer weather scene…. With winter on the way.

Think I’ll pack up and move in with Sylvester017 where it’s nice all the time 😊

I am sure the horses can fit in her back yard….
1/2 of a horse might fit in back, one in the front yard, & the 3rd will have to fit at the end of the cul-de-sac street. On 2nd thought not a good idea ~ the homeless might ride off with it 🐎 !!!
