It's a beautiful day today. They've been running between all of their different "spots" and foraging. Lots of sunbathing!

They're all just over 4 months old now. Magrat and Gytha have some nice lacing coming in on their chests. A little more comb and wattle growth recently. Pretty pretty girls 🤍🖤

Trimmed poofs, floofs, and did a bandage change.
Samara needed a bootyfluff trim, Bab and Ric needed headpoof trim, and Nocturne needed a fresh foot wrap. All were extremely well behaved, Samara even settled into hubby's chest for a bit of a cuddle. Everyone got mealyworms when we were done. Versace came over and looked at the bag, looked at me, then back at the bag. So I tossed another few down for him.

I love those shelters and am shamelessly going to copy the design.
Adding it to my (already long) list of projects!

All you knowledgeable chicken folk. What is it called when your black/green/purple chicken (Tassels) has little flecks of gold on her shoulders?
She has them on both sides - but really small. Maybe just one feather on each side.
Very snazzy.
I think she is starting to molt. The lengths that girl will go to in order to restrict supply of her beautiful army-green eggs!
Tried to get pics of her epaulets here.

Means the black (Extended Black) is covering something....and it's bleeding through in this moult. It will likely grow with each moult. One of Thing's daughters did that: 1st adult moult was 2 white feathers. 2nd was full mottled.

Well that sounds interesting. She is a cross between a BCM and a black Ameraucana. At least I think so.

This is so cool!

I'll tell my dad, he used to be a carpenter for a time so he used his knowledge to build the physical frame of the image in my head. I wouldn't have been able to do it by myself
