Nature, creation, the outdoors. That's why farmlife stabilizes people. We all have problems but citylife makes more wackos out of people compared to the ones in the country who somehow get thru their hardships w/stronger resolve.
Amen to that!

I grew up on a farm but as life would have it, I wound up living in town as an older adult. After living there for 20 years, the neighborhood started going downhill. Barking dogs, loud mufflers next door, teenagers running through our yard at all hours, etc. I had become a hermit, keeping all the blinds and shades pulled.

Hubby knew I was fading so we had to do something to get me out of there. We searched and searched and found this place, 2.5 acres in the middle of nowhere, with a creek down the hill behind us. Paradise!

That little building furthest away is the coop/Amish garden shed.

A church friend gave me a gift today. No particular reason just for me. It’s a towel rack with chicken butts . He obviously knows my taste in decor! I really do cherish my friends.
I saw one like that here the other day, and recognized the butts as refrigerator magnets my oldest son gave me for Christmas last year lol.

That is awesome! :love

Yes. @LozzyR created her for me. I wanted to tribute all the polish we have had in our lives.
I noticed also - Lozzy does good work ♥️
I had no idea Lozzy did art. That photo portrays Phyllis really well. I love the pixel style of it too.
Thank you! :love Yes, I'm currently creating a text-based adventure game based on some of our feathery friends you see on Bob's thread. I'm doing it around all my other projects, so it will take a little while to get there.

How eggciting! I can’t wait to see the end result 🥰

Beautiful! Looks like such a gorgeous location ♥️

I was nervous to check on my chooks this morning, but they're all full of zoomies. Urates and vinegar, even!

I just took down the last 2 bird feeders we had up. I'll empty, clean, and put away the bird bath later today or tomorrow. Dad and I have a lot to do today so I don't know if I'll get to it.

Monday I'm having my last 2 wisdom teeth pulled. Ugh, I'm not looking forward to the recovery, that's more stressful than the procedure. Only eating soup and other soft foods for a week or 2, no caffeine, need to be careful about dry socket... UGH!

But it'll be done and I won't have to worry about another gaping hole in another wisdom tooth :th
Wisdom teeth are no fun. :hugs

Well all this being freaked out has me deciding to treat Laverne with sulpha-trim. That swelling has been going on too long and not resolving, so I have pulled up a dose of meds and will start her on that for 10 days.
I like that. I would also treat at this point.
