Looks like he may have a little Campine in him. Breaking out whenever he wants. You need to train him to go back in now.Ned and Vicki wish Anna and I well the other morning.

It was still dark enough my flash went off!
I really like having him as a "yard bird". There is a small possibility that Rich and I could buy 5 acres with a house and barn on it already. If we do, Ned will become my mascot!!
That is a great price for around here.As much as I want this property, It likely won't happen.
Mainly because we aren't preapproved for a mortgage and we won't get one just yet. We're still working on building our credit. The owner was willing to do a rent to own, but the monthly cost would be $1,500.00 a month and that is just WAY over our budget. Now a mortgage would be much lower, likely 800.00 to 900.00 a month, but we just aren't there yet.
It's a heck of a deal for someone who has the financial backing. It's 5 acers with a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house, 6 stall barn, and fenced pasture. He's only asking $200,000.00 which is a GREAT price for the area.
He's doing his job. Good boy. Keep those ladies safe.Rocks-Anne, loves to leave the flock. and go exploring. Today she went all the way to the main gate. (Quite a distance from the rest of the birds.).... (Except Jaffar), who was right there, following her, to make sure she had his protection!
(He's such a good roo) Bias opinion of course. but still true!
My gosh. It's so lucky you happened by. That is downright scary! Let's us know how she is tomorrow.Hi yall! Well just a bit ago I almost had a chicken tragedy! I went out to feed the flock and walked upon Claire trapped by her neck under the gate! I thought she was dead but she moved so I hurried and opened it and she got up! She was shaken up pretty badly and she was bleeding from her comb and wings from struggling! I brought her out of the coop and put her in the bunny yard after I held her for awhile so I could finish the feeding and watering ....she sat in there for awhile and walked some too... but as it started to turn dark she looked ready to get out so she could go to bed so I carried her to bed and placed her on the top roost... it looked as if Rosemary wanted to be near her.. she jump up there quickly and was trying to get under Maggie so she could get next to Claire... but before anyone went to roost... no one would go into the coop because they wouldn’t dare walk through the gate of death!! I had to carry them one by one and the ones I couldn’t catch I had to herd with the rake! Chickens are smart! They knew something horrible happened there and they knew to stay away!
This is the gate she was stuck under... it is usually propped open and I couldn’t imagine how it shut on her neck like that.. but I figured out that she was running from Trump and ran under it and pushed it shut
It won’t happen again! I zip tied it open!
Oh, and I knew she was running from Trump because he was the only one that was stuck in that yard.. View attachment 2383654
