Sounds like time for the snowshoes. It's about a foot deep here. Heading out to close up now. Some ventured out today, but not many and temps are dropping this week.

That darn Truly, now she is showing signs of being colicky, which means I will be up now. I gave her some Bute (pain med), in the off chance she is just really achy with her arthritis.

But she isn’t eating which is always a bad sign with horses.

So here is am having to watch her on the camera for the next hr to see if the pain meds work.

Or if I have to get dressed and go to the barn and walk her all night.

Meanwhile her camera in her stall keeps going down. Sheesh!

I'm so very sorry. I hope it turns out to be nothing.

Am I neglecting my chooks? I usually go out and tuck them into the coop at bedtime, the last few days I have forgotten what time it is, and then I go out in the dark, and count them with my flashlight.
It’s just that I haven’t been feeling well lately, and I’m trying to get as much rest as I can. I haven’t heard from the doctor about my bloodwork yet. One doctor said that after the finger prick test, I was very anemic View attachment 4046904

I am loving mine also, I have three buffs and a lavender - they are all wonderful. I wish could get another lavender.

Good morning everyone.

Please keep Rosie, dad and Mom in your thoughts today. This flu is no joke and now mom came down with it yesterday. Rosie and dad are still running fever's going into their 4th day with this. I honestly think dad is trying to set up pneumonia. His stubborn hard headed butt needed to go to the emergency room yesterday, but he did not. If Rosie was as bad as he is I would have had her there in a heartbeat. I'm still good thank goodness but I'm tired. I've gotten everyone medicated this morning, horses and chickens taken care of and I have to head to work in a hour. Thankfully my brother is off today and he will tend to them, and agreed to do evening chicken and horse chores for me.

Spoke with my doctor today. Bloodwork showed higher levels of cholesterol than he likes. Anemia is present and that has him concerned. Blood pressure is normalized, but my COPD has been flaring up with increased exertion. I’m A work in progress!
