I dreamt that Bruce Lee was invited to my old apartment and showed me how dirty a rug actually is. He put clear tape over it and when he pulled it up, he counted the bugs in the rug.

I am thankful my county is only expected to get 3 to 6 inches of the rain. That being said 3 to 6 inches is enough for our area to experience severe flash flooding. There is supposed to be severe thunderstorms the next couple days with high wind advisories. The western half of the state is under a tornado warning. Our area straight line winds which can be troublesome as well. I guess starting tomorrow we will see just how good I anchored down the silkie coop and if my thought process on it's location was right.

Pray for all of Kentucky the next couple days please.

I have grown that magnolia from a stick over the last 30 years. It takes a lot of water.

Mine also grows well, and generally flowers well, very hardy - it’s the rabbits that do mine in!

Rob, did you literally mean a stick? I can throw a Willow stick in the ground and 5 yrs later it will be a big tree…

I would love to plant a magnolia at the barn in the chickens run. They are lovely shade trees with their big leaves.

Everyone say hello to 2 new members of the FBA community!

The breeder let us know their were day-olds available last night at 8 pm. I spoke to them this morning at 8:30. The place was 90 minutes away by car. When we got there there were 5 left. These two appear to be pullets, fingers crossed. They are Polish barnyard mixes. I have no idea what they will look like when they grow up.

They have applied themselves to trying to jump up on the top of their heater.

Everyone say hello to little Nimue. The first to make it to the top.

Oh my, this is a wonderful surprise! They are adorable . I am excited to watch them grow.

I am glad you were able to locate some within a reasonable driving distance, so much nicer than the stress of shipping eggs or chicks. Finding chicks anywhere this year is particularly challenging.

My chicks have hatched !! The breeder will not ship until they are at least 2 weeks old and the weather is alright. I asked for some photos and she sent a few, so without further ado. Ten hatched out of the 12 she set for me. So all of these cuties will be coming here to Ohio.

I think this one will have a crest!

I do have some, but they are Swedish Flower Hens so it’s an exciting guessing game as to what they will end up looking like part of the fun though. They will all be mottled and some may have mini crests. Other than that no one knows.
