I don’t mind in The Hen Houses at night, in the winter the temps stay near freezing point or a bit above. I’ll split them up again in the summer and put half in the Summer House at night.

Bit I am thankful I ended up having the hen house in the barn - it is a great place for them to roam during the day even if they do make a terrible mess

Your set up certainly got me thinking. I have a barn but it is not as well designed as yours and I think is less secure than the Chicken Palace.
Put it this way, this is a picture from inside the barn. Yes, a fox moved her 7 kits inside. This one is just hanging out posing for the game camera.

Yeah, maybe don't put your hens in there. That wouldn't be the fox in the hen house, rather the hens in the fox hole!

I found kiddo's favorite chicken patterns again so we had to print rainbow ones.

Originally I was going to build a hen house, but with the extreme price of lumber during Covid I repurposed the shavings room (as some of you know).

I am so happy I did this, not only do I get to play around with the little time thieves when I am out there, but in the winter I don’t have to freeze doing their chores. Sure they poop on EVERYTHING and my floors are disgusting, but hey at least they are entertaining!
