Oh Bob! :hugs I know the feeling. I'm so glad they seem to be sorting things out between themselves.
I have no confidence that they have sorted anything out at all. None. I am certain that roost time is going to be a mess.

I have decided to care less and just move Phyllis when she is stuck outside. This means I can never leave home again but what else can I do.

They'll go through a lot of in-fighting and come out the other side contented and sure of themselves. Then someone will go broody and they'll all have to start the in-fighting all over again. It's the way of the chicken.

That is the Hershey Press Building. It is very cool. They just completed restoration of it in 2007. It was built for Milton Hershey and was originally constructed to house a local commercial printing company. It would soon serve as the home of the Hershey Laundry, 1920-1934, a bakery, and the Hershey Department Store from 1920 until its closure in 1973. It is 104 years old. It now has restaurants and Hershey human resources offices in it.

The foliage is what started my mind thinking about recording the drive through town. The leaves are on the trees surprisingly late this year. It is possible for us to have snow by now as @CrazyChookChookLady did before Halloween.

We are a little more than a month from the shortest day of the year. The angle of the sun is quite low right now. In fact, this is the only time of the year when it comes up behind my coop.
Wow, that old building has had quite a few functions! I'm glad it's remained. Some of the lovely old buildings in the port near where i live are preserved and doing great. Others have been removed to make way for dense housing. It's a shame they weren't kept and converted to public use.

I like that. The way of the chicken. I am likely to use that myself. I hope you don't mind.

There is a great seafood restaurant in the bottom of that building that Mrs BY Bob loves. The interior is very modern but I love the old architecture on the outside.

Picture of the Week

I had said I wasn't going to enter anymore. However, I'm going to enter once more. This really feels like my best chance to win. Doesn't this just scream autumn?

Be my guest!

By the way, I've been following the advice in the chicken taming video with Janet (she's the only squatting hen). Anyway, it's working. She loves her neck massages and this morning after I released her, she didn't hop down until an extra minute had passed!

That's awesome!
