Sydney and Sheila are staring to show a little Green/Turquoise iridescence on their feathers. Still pretty faint and hard to photograph.

I feel some judgment in your description of Breezy. If he has to take on a hawk you will be glad he's a "chunk".

Oh he is definitely mostly muscle. I make the fat jokes because he's kinda intimidating, to be honest. Same as the "sweet baby" jokes.
He's gonna be a good daddy though, he loves spending time with chicks, watching them, bringing treats, and warning off anyone who wants to pick on them.

Also Bresse chickens are known for fatty, marbled meat. So it's a little...morbid too.

It is hard to photograph - but I can sit and stare at it for hours!
I don’t remember how old they were when they started shimmering. How old are Sydney and Sheila?

I'm starting to catch some colors and shimmering on the Phyllistines. They are 9 weeks old.

It rained! The chooks are not going to be happy about staying in.

It cleared up, and both me and the chickens are happy. Chooks because they got out, me because RAIN!

Oh Misty. That is not wise. You have a fine beard and muffs but I would submit they are uniform in color and really do not stand out like this magnificent set does. I hope for your benefit Aurora does not find out about your boast. I am going to keep it from her. If Phyllis was still here she would show Aurora right away.

“Good Sir and wise Queen, you are indeed correct, whilst Misty has a lovely beard and muffs they are not very vibrant, a bit too subtle to really stand out; please inform HRH that her beard and muffs are indeed glorious.

But I also wish to inform both her, and Misty, that only I, Madam Blanche Golden Girl, has the most glorious of all beards and muffs, but not being a vain old lady I would not have put it forth, except for the fact that in my old age I feel it my duty to ensure credit is given where credit is due.

Blanche is an old lady I should point out, and quite intent on making sure I a mere Hooman submitted her statement.
