My parents used to live outside West Yellowstone. They regularly had bison in the yard year round. Had a year old (or so) puppy who decided the bison were new play things. He got the zoomies....figure 8s through the herd barking....until an adult stomped at him. Then he decided discretion was the better part of valor and hid under the deck where he barked at them every time the wandered through.

The deck was high enough there were times we COULD have stepped through the rails and onto the backs of the bison for a SHORT ride. None of us ever wanted to. The big ones made a Ford Taurus seem tiny when they were grazing around one.

Yes they are very intimidating! They don’t have much to worry about as adults. Except trains and semi’s!

Hay. I am too old for this stuff! I moved my high velocity fan up to the mow, and that helps. But I am so out of shape and not used to slugging.

I could quite happily sit on this bale in front of that fan all day!

But I need to move all this

The chooks are doing well, they have decided to bury themselves in the dirt - smart birds!
