(That’s me. Not the greatest pic but 🤷‍♀️)

Mrs LC flew out the barn door and landed on my head yesterday.

Walked around for a bit with her up there, then I had to insist she ‘get down’.

Thankfully she is a teeny bantam and not a honking big Jersy Giant ♥️

I have my riding tractor, two push mowers, an edger, two string trimmers (politically correct) and two blowers. They are all in use for my new Start up company.
I can’t see using battery powered equipment for the large jobs I do.
I did buy a battery powered string trimmer (politically correct) for home use. But the batteries don’t last very long. 😔

I accidentally whipper snipped my mums rose bush 😳🫣

Shhhhh! She doesn’t know yet!

I misplaced Jaffarra yesterday evening. Couldn’t find her, was resigns to her being lost forever.

Found her in Lulu’s old stall where I keep the wheelbarrows now, she was hunkered down had made a nest in the hay. I locked her in there accidentally.

Sorry girl!

So we lost a Barnevelder pullet and our disabled Ameraucana cockerel (bum leg, poor mobility) to a dog attack yesterday. I was so spitting mad at that lady (yes, same one, same dog) that I may have berated her using very foul language. I may have asked her if she was [expletive] stoopid. I may have said that I couldn’t for the life of me understand why she was so inconsiderate that she would continue to drive out to someone’s property to walk a dog she had no control over when she knew good and well her dog had killed chickens in the past. I told her to please for the love of all things decent DO NOT COME BACK! I made my boyfriend text the farmer across the street to tell his “friend” that next time she’d be burying her dog.

She had him on a leash but “he got away from” her. Then he’s not exactly leashed, is he? What good is it if you can’t control two dogs on leashes if they are pulling hard? You stoopid [expletive]. Walk them someplace else!!!

Oh my gosh!! I am so furious to hear of this. Sorry but I would have called the police. In fact have in the past when two Rotties attacked my mare while I was out riding her.

It cost them $750 in vet bills (big money back in the early 90s). And the fine from the police and township.

I am also terribly sad and just horrified for you at witnessing this. Those dogs would have been toast right then and there - I wouldn’t harm any animal, but as dog/s that cannot be controlled learns it can act that way, and is very dangerous. What would not do to a wee baby toddler? I would hate to think about it.

It cost just as much to feed a bad dog as a good dog. And sometimes you just have to take collar off that dog and put it on another one.

(FYI that quote is actually ‘it costs just as much money to feed a good horse as a bad one. Sometimes you just have to take the shoes of the horse and put them on a another one).

Oh and there are no problem dogs only problem owners (no problem horses only problem riders. I like to substitute kids and parents for that one 😉).

Gosh I am just gobsmacked- sending you a huge hug.

Clyde says bring that owner here I’ll peck her in the eyes

It is extreme and yes bad for the environment. I expect WA state to do the same thing one day.
They also want to start charging people for driving by the mile.😡 So far they haven't been able to do that. It will definitely go to the highest court, because that would allow the state to track people and I believe it's illegal for the government to track us. We live an hour one way from any major shopping and Dr.

Now to a happier tax. They just had grapes and I still have all of my fingers!
