also surely that cant just be decided by the gov and how would that pass a vote, even in Cali?
California has a Dick- tatorship at the moment and yes it can be decided by gov Nuisance!
We are not supposed to bring political views into this thread. So I must add that California governor is a complete chicken! 🐓 ruled by self interest groups!
What a quack of 💩

I’m gonna get a last warning from @ByBob for this post, for sure!

Pic of your Emden perchance?
Sadly, I don't think I have a picture of any of them. That was over 30yrs ago. But, there might be some in the box of pictures that have been on my list of things I should sort through, but haven't, so my kids will probably have to do it when I'm gone type of project...lol We had 2 Emden, 2 Toulouse and one African goose. A pack of dogs killed them along with most of a flock of our bantams. 😕

Have to tag @featherhead007 with this one!

She is setting herself apart a bit, and there's adult Buckeye feathers lying about in her favorite corner. But she molted some in June...thought she was done, it seemed to be a partial molt...and she had a flare-up of her respiratory issue at the same time, could they be connected? Now, spotted her removing loose feathers! Just missed a great shot, a feather sitting loose on her back...

That's ok... try handling 5 hard-broody Silkies at the same time w/ all 5 trying to fit into an 11"x11" nestbox ❣️

This is only 3 in a box... never got one of all 5 in one box!

I need to figure out how long Holly has been broody, over a month I think. If I were in a stable situation here I would see if my neighbour had any chicks for me to foster onto her and her mum.

Need to read backwards to see if I can see where I first mentioned her being broody.....

EDIT: First reference for Holly going broody was July 1st, and I remember a couple days later she was full on broody. And about a week later Georgie joined her.

So yep, about a month. I need to get them both snapped out of this broody business.
