Thank you! That gives me a little more insight into what they might be.

I can't wait to see their eggs too. Blue would be lovely. But I wouldn't mind green, a pink cast would also be beautiful. I should get beautiful blue eggs from my Cream Legbar's. And my Ameraucana should give green or blue.

That’s so amazing! Love that they are all mamas 😊♥️

Here are my dynamic duo and their wee fuzzy legged babies.

I have purposely have not named them. But I have fallen for the wee darkest one - she’s a cutie pie.
So, so cute. You all are making me want more... hubs won't allow it...22 in the coop is enough, while I think a few more will fit! 💗

Had a difficult task tonight. Hector had turned back into a hormonal idiot.....age 3..... ladies lingering out to avoid him....trouble staying on due to his feet (never fully straightened out from the vitamin deficiency when he was a chick). Shad's thread has had some discussion about when to remove a rooster and what truly constitutes a good rooster. Post hormonal idiocy phase he's one the ladies hang out with, tidbits the treat the them, they crouch without being chased and grabbed by him.

Doing some chick observation, I realized he's mostly off on the fringes, chasing the ladies, and a couple of them have stayed out to almost dark only to get grabbed with a ruckus the instant they poked their beaks into the coop. Last night, I was able to grab him and move him into the garage. One of the ladies not only didn't come back to the coop, but wasn't loitering around the door this morning. He spent the day in the garage. She turned up this evening. The only kerfuffle I heard this evening involved the chicks being told they had to move.

Due to the condition of Hector's feet, rehoming him to a rooster less flock isn't really feasible either. A friend gave me some daylilies to add to my garden today. They're now planted on his grave.
Oh how hard that must have been, even when in the flock’s best interest :hugs :hugs :hugs

I am just happy those two numbskulls have stopped being broody, they are eating, drinking and moving about.

These broodies drive me crazy, I don’t mind them sitting for a couple weeks, but more than 3 weeks is not good.

Whiskers is doing well on her eggs, I made a quick peek at P3 and it still looks like a dud. I’ll do a proper candling of all the eggs tomorrow night.

So I haven’t seen any guesses for ‘S’ eggs other than Jenn…? Anyone else want to guess?

@SimpleJenn you need to give one guess not 14 😉👍
I guessed...S = Silkie...😁 I'll add to it...S=Serama?

Oops, read to the bottom, only one guess, I guessed 2...lol

While I think the Serum are very lovely they would not do well here in the winter. Mr and Mrs LC have a hard time, I bring them into the feedroom at night where it’s around 48F. During the day they hang out under the Sweeter Heaters. And the IR lamps. The Silkies are good as long as no wind and of course no snow/rain.

In fact I find the silkies have a terrible time in the heat and humidity, their feathers are so dense.

So I will accept your answer on Silkies and say yes they are silkie eggs.

3 each or silkie and polish. Though P3 looks like a dud so will likely only have the 2 Polish eggs hatch. Of course it’s still a long way till the 29/30th which is when I eggspect them to start hatching.
Lots could go wrong.

I hope you have a completely successful hatch! I loved hatching chicks, so much fun! 💗
