Yep walking in slippery cecal poops takes skill! Which I have in limited supply these days!
Well had some drama tonight putting chooks to bed. As you mostly all know Cayenne likes to fly up on my back/shoulders/head…. Face…. To get away from the others - and tonight was particularly bad, Someone attacked Cayenne who then flew up into my face, scratching my face and cutting my lip. I knocked her to the ground (she’s fine), I then picked her up and put her on the ledge, Ruth then attached her and she tried again to fly up on me.
I grabbed Ruth and told her “yep sister you get to go fight for a spot with the old gals - good luck” and plopped her in HH-A with the older ladies.
Then I put Cayenne back on the ledge and Raven attacked her - at this point I am ready to put all three of them in the freezer.
So I grabbed Raven and told her also - good luck in here - have fun, and put her in Hen House A. I then had a few choice words for Cayenne who was still trying to fly up on me. But with my lip bleeding and my face scratched I was fed up. I told them all figure it out, locked up and left them in the dark.
Came to the house and cleaned up my scratches with betadine. Did you all know that there is a mouth rinse made with betadine you can get? It’s good for cankers and scratches from chickens on your lip… heaven knows what sort of bacteria their claws harbour!
And another thing that’s going to stop is this door sitting with Mr LC and Tippy.
And the brats who still sit on the stall walls. Gonna stop this weekend. Kelly is fed up!
