I’m actually having a bad day.
But my little Pullet Elsa is bringing my thought patterns back into focus
I made a deal with them for $3million on my northern property. I included that the deal would be tax exempt. I don’t trust this. I really think I need my mathamachicken on this deal. Everyone knows how lawyers can get.

Yep walking in slippery cecal poops takes skill! Which I have in limited supply these days!

Well had some drama tonight putting chooks to bed. As you mostly all know Cayenne likes to fly up on my back/shoulders/head…. Face…. To get away from the others - and tonight was particularly bad, Someone attacked Cayenne who then flew up into my face, scratching my face and cutting my lip. I knocked her to the ground (she’s fine), I then picked her up and put her on the ledge, Ruth then attached her and she tried again to fly up on me.

I grabbed Ruth and told her “yep sister you get to go fight for a spot with the old gals - good luck” and plopped her in HH-A with the older ladies.

Then I put Cayenne back on the ledge and Raven attacked her - at this point I am ready to put all three of them in the freezer.

So I grabbed Raven and told her also - good luck in here - have fun, and put her in Hen House A. I then had a few choice words for Cayenne who was still trying to fly up on me. But with my lip bleeding and my face scratched I was fed up. I told them all figure it out, locked up and left them in the dark.

Came to the house and cleaned up my scratches with betadine. Did you all know that there is a mouth rinse made with betadine you can get? It’s good for cankers and scratches from chickens on your lip… heaven knows what sort of bacteria their claws harbour!

And another thing that’s going to stop is this door sitting with Mr LC and Tippy.

And the brats who still sit on the stall walls. Gonna stop this weekend. Kelly is fed up!
Yes I know betadine. I used it for months after I was shot

Navy is sleeping in the tall coop, the sprouts are here. I need to get the run-dwellers in their integration pen ASAP

Well, have some VERY disgruntled chickens. Went down early to get eggs/see how birds are doing. While in the coop, the ones still outside started complaining. When I turned around, Bijou was headed towards the big door. She followed me down....I carried her back up along with the egg basket. Oh boy. She has ZERO fear when with me.

I pulled my CeeCee from the laying box. All she had under her for two weeks was a golfball. 🤦‍♂️ most chickens are pretty smart, but not this one! Just who does she think she is, Tiger Woods? :idunno
She needed a bath! She smelled like barnyard. She stays in the house tonight, forced to watch Charles Bronson movies. That’s the best way to break a broody hen (it works)

Just wanted to put this out there and apologize for the triple posts. I haven't been active lately because of my busy life and I just don't get the chance to get chicken photos. Shoot, I have so many chicken photos that I have no problem showing a photo that I might've shown before.

Glad they didn’t beat on her like mine did with poor Missy!
