You all know that I run a small yard and gardening business (post retirement) well, it rained hard last night, so no outdoor work on lawn will happen. My first hired guys get shop time cleaning and repairing equipment. Myself🤔 you kidding, I’m spending my time with my beloved feathered family. Later I’ll take my neighbor shopping. She’s too old to drive herself. (This is retirement?)
Retirement sucks but benefits us too ~ No job to grind to, time for gardening, & time for chickeneering.

Downside ~ getting old & frail!

Family breakfast butts wishing you a happy Friday.
Silly Cookie is always walking g over the food bowl.
I have had to move to two bowls of mash as there isn’t room for 9 chickens around one bowl. How did I get to having 9 chickens. That is insane!

Love your boughs & ladder... hopefully our Grapefruit tree gets a thick branch to saw off this coming year for the chickens to stand on.

Downside ~ getting old & frail!

Doesn’t matter how old I get, my beautiful chooks love me. Case in point: Coco doesn’t mind a bit sharing lunch with me and now we’re going to snuggle and nap for a while. Lunch was beef Alfredo and string cheese. I hope she never asks me “do my feathers make me look fat?”

Drat those broodies, I came home to Misty and Raven brawling again, and Misty knew eggsactly where to injure her - in the eye she previously damaged.

Anywho, some Maxitrol eye ointment and 1/2 an aspirin for Raven, and I shoved Misty out with Mr P’s gang in the Rooster Run.

Poor Raven is too old for this crap.

I hope Raven isn’t thinking of going broody.

Not to worry it’s the eyelid not the eye itself injured.
