She has hung on to them longer than Georgie and Holly did.

And also Whiskers has partially ditched her kids, she still snuggles them at night though. They are still small enough to snuggle under her. But during the day more often then not she leaves them and no longer calls for them. Even if they scream for her she ignores them.
This is always hard. :hugs :hugs

To be bilingual is an amazing thing, my french sucks, but I can get by. I can speak cat, horse and now chook. Hahaha.

The brat, laid a few eggs then went broody again!

NO MORE BABIES EVER!
No more babies for sure... who needs more cockerels anyway. Hey, we've handled broody Silkie hens for 14+ yrs & both they & we have survived. We don't give in to broodies cuz we're zone limited ~ TG!

Languages? I have English, Russian, Spanish, German, Latin, & Greek under my belt but if you don't use the languages w/other people daily it gets lost & fuzzy. The only reason my Spanish is retained somewhat is cuz of the Latino area we live in.

Yep I need to lean a board up against the wall were they run, crests a tunnel for them.

I haven’t seen any rats on the barn cam in a bit. Usually see one a night. Is this a good thing? 😳
WHEREVER there's one, be assured there are plenty more around the property. They come around in spurts... maybe several in one month then nothing for a while... then it starts again. Be patient... keep the trap out w/ fresh bait... don't clean the area of droppings or move things around. Rats are very very wary about changes. & make the bait sweet fresh or tasty.
