Getting a long look at her face, in motion, so much better than a still picture. What a pretty gal!
I think she was happier in the car than with Santa though.

“Remember When, I was young and so were you, remember when, teenage love is all we knew.
You were the first and so was I, we made love and then you cried, remember when!” Sounds like a hit song!

Actually that was in my dreams….

Reality sucks

Today received over 8” more snow which is now over my boots going to the barn.

I had to shovel a path to the manure pile to empty the wheelbarrow, heavy wet snow….

Then I had to haul the snow off the fabric covered sheds my mother insists on using, they shouldn’t even be sold here they are not rated for snow lid at all! Over a foot on them, I am surprised they didn’t collapse.

I also hauled to snow off the house roof over the doorway. Ice builds up there and I do not want a repeat of last years ice dam breaking my eves trough.

My niece will come out Friday to plow the house driveway and up to the barn. It’s calling for 30 to 50cm of snow overnight and a further 10 to 15cm tomorrow.

And to top it all off my water trough de-icer keeps blowing the fuse in the barn. It’s blown again (some of my barn cams are on the same circuit) but I am not walking out there. In the morning I’ll bring a 100’ power cable out and plug the de-icer into a different circuit line. Hopefully the water won’t be too frozen over.

To say I detest winter would be an extreme understatement. I am definitely looking at moving to Vancouver Island - must call Kris and tell her ‘make room I’m coming to visit’ hahaha.

Right now….. that’s my apple tree. View attachment 4264433

Rabbits almost killed it back in 2013, we had a vicious winter brutally cold and 3’ of snow up that tree (yep it was a tree then. The rabbits ate the bark all around the trunk and killed the tree. But it sent out these suckers from the base and grew onto this bush.
The weather is a challenge for farmers everywhere. Too much liquid water is the situation in Vancouver now isn’t it?

He was not having it. Poor fellow. That scared me I can't imagine how you felt. :hugs :hugs :hugs

Remember way back when - back when I first got him? The first time I grabbed him up and he screamed the place down, and Marty tried to kill me????

It wasn’t as bad as that thankfully!
😆

I’ll have to find that story again. This time it was Mr LC having a go at me!

Hmmm had to look that one up - not a country music (aka modern pop) fan.

Let’s twist again like we did last summer…..

Great song! And the chooks like when I sing it 😉

I would not describe it as a shriek, but that's me.

I should to a catalogue of the sounds they make (starting with Mr P’s screaming - poor dude!), I think I’ll then start with the chick-teens and their honking noise they make.

🤦‍♂️
And by the way, “Remember When “ is an Alan Jackson song. You can’t get anymore country than that! :old

Anyone know who this is? Much too big to be a mouse. Tail not long enough to be a rat.
Some kind of vole?
I would call that a vole, we have them here. Like a fat field mouse with a short tail, a grey color no tawny, and the eyes are small. Also I would give it a 10 for the Olympic horizontal bar dismount!
