Can you get baby diapers or pee pee pads and wrap/tape them around her...
I wish I had thought about this question yesterday while we were in town. Diapers is a great solution! I just posted “ISO baby diapers” in the community FB forum... maybe someone has some leftovers? Hopefully no one will take offense to the post 🙄 it’s like a pack of spoiled 5-7 year olds on there most times. Our store carries the adult incontinence products, but there aren’t enough babies here to stock diapers. I really thought the crate would work fine, and now I feel just awful that she was laying in her pee most of the night.
Dang it! Why do I never read ahead! :th

I use the term “flock” because it’s the most commonly applied one for chickens, but agree that they do function more like tribes when left to their own devices. Herd of cows, herd of goats, pack of teenagers, flock of sheep, murder of crows, herd of commuters, school of fish, unkindness of Ravens, gaggle of geezers... I am slowly starting to accept that sometimes being clearly understood is better than being accurate but misunderstood. And that sometimes it’s easier to just go with the general opinion, even when I disagree, because it’s just too much work to try to change people’s minds. Or maybe I’m just getting lazy?
It's common here to call a group of people a "mob". Especially if they are related by blood or share a common interest. This is also the term for a group of kangaroos.

Awww, that is just so adorable. 🤗

When will he be coming to you?

I got an update last night, the vet was able to repair BOTH legs, no amputation!

However they wounds are definitely bite wounds and he was never vaccinated so he is a rabies risk. I'm not sure that he'll be coming home, I have to wait and see what the restrictions are on that.

I hope to have more information today and if it's not a risk to my family he should be home by the weekend.

I think that is mostly good news. If he has rabies I think it becomes evident quite fast.
You should get the rabies shot if you are rescuing animals in any case. I keep needing post exposure shots because I get wildlife - especially bats - showing up in the house somehow.

That's great news about his legs! :wee

Not so good about rabies exposure. 😕

Hopefully he'll get the all clear. :fl

It has taken me two weeks of doing almost nothing else in any down time (I have a fair amount) I am officially caught up.
Woooohoooo! I hope it was worth it! 🥂🍾🎉🎊

Now you know all the inside jokes too. 😁

Its stunning how much change my flock tribe has gone through in 2 years, isn't it?

just on the ferry home, supposed to be writing an email for DH, but he and Arduinna are both napping. Coming up!

Yep, our phones they eavesdrop... occasionally if I’m discussing a sensitive matter with a friend (hers not mine, “personal” issues) I now leave my phone in another room... some of the ads I was getting were downright disturbing and try explaining the divorce lawyer ones all over the place to DH, or the kiddo? Not fun!
Alrighty. I have hit page 400 in this thread but being so focussed on catching up (and there is still a lot to go) I feel I am missing out on interacting with the ‘now’ thread and what you guys are sharing so I will try to switch between.
Apologies I keep posting replies to things from a year or so ago! I know it can throw the flow of the thread off but things I have come across in my early @BY Bob thread trawl have resonated with my current situation so I felt compelled to comment/ ask questions etc.
I already feel I have learnt a lot by starting at the beginning (page 1) on here, my flock dynamic with the new pullets being one of them, so thank you to all you guys for posting such informative and unique observations in here.
I know I am new to all of the threads but I want to say a big thank you again to @MaryJanet for inviting me to join her flock thread when I joined BYC recently, which has now led me to here also ☺ and thank you to @BY Bob for letting me join his flock and read about the happenings on Fluffy Butt Acres 😊
I realised just now that I never asked if I could join in. MJ asked me into hers and then I kinda just smashed my way in here and I apologise for such an impolite entrance and etiquette.

Anyway, to show my appreciation I took the first fluffy butt shot of Snow ever today (she’s 11ish weeks) even though her tail is covering it a bit but I think I have discovered that she is last in the order and my Belle (Babybel) is perhaps second even though she is smaller and very ADHD (plus being cheeky and so cute)
Wonderful butt! I have trouble keeping up just on the current part of the thread. Someday I will go back in time. I think I popped my head in now and then earlier on, but have only been a “regular” for a few months, I think. I also try to keep up on threads of a couple other friends in this thread, but I am behind.
