Yes alone! Who’s going play cannon in D major to my beautiful chicks while I’m so far away? Yes I love my family, but I really love the gift God gave me with those little ones. (Why I can’t sleep tonight) oh how I miss my time with my babies! I I try to remember that I have a life outside my chickens, but I realize that loving my chickens is all I want and need! I guess I’m going insane, BYC gives me joy, and I’m so glad that I am a part of this!

And just remember, when you get back they will be huge and gawky and will really trample on you. Be ready!

Snack Time in the Coop

One of the great side benefits of the coop cam is that it can grab great videos of everyone eating in the coop. This frequently leads to surprises. Here is some video I captured yesterday. Just chickens being chickens but it is fun to peak in on them.

Bob, thanks. I' m just waiting for clearance. I hope my brother is ready. He's a busy guy too. sadly, he has no chickens. (his lovely Chinese wife would have eaten them already) I will send pics, when I get there.

OK. I have kept this picture up for awhile, because my first impression at the time was that the bird on top is an American Bald Eagle. I have not wavered from that impression. This is bugging me, sorry @Cynthia12 !

What chicken has eyes like that, and insanely curved, gripping claws made for gripping fish and meat like that? And details - an under-beak area very non-chicken, massive tail feathers, and very long wing feathers - this bird flies. Is this a Giant Air Chicken?

It is a GREAT picture. I didn't see anybody except @Shadrach ask about it, and I was waiting on the answer....if there was an answer I didn't see it, at least not here on @BY Bob 's thread, so please explain this bird, thank you!

I am certain that is a bald eagle looking between its legs. I just can't think of why it would.
