The monster egg turned out to be just that. A monster egg. No double yolk but a big yolk.
The shell was thinnish in some areas and thickish in others.
Does anyone think I should be doing anything (I mean apart from eating it?).

Wasn't feeling up to par today so I was inside at the normal front yard time, the ladies started calling me, first time in months they have done this :love
In another couple of months when they yell every minute I am not outside I will feel different ;)
They have figured out the routine and went to work without me, I supervised from inside with making dinner.View attachment 2555413View attachment 2555414
While we didn't get any snow this year, the upside is being able to harvest a bunch of mustard greens for my soup pot :)

Its nice when they can work without direct supervision a little. At least they know their duties! 😆

Girls can be roosters, too. :)

Sunshine, Flo, Flash, Dorothy, Minnie, Roxy, Little Mill, Lucky, occasionally Buttercup and even Bridge are squatting for me! Only Ruby, Ester and Cashew are not. Oh, and Dorothy laid a shelled egg yesterday. I’ll do calcium a couple more days.
You buried the headline! I'm so happy for Dorothy. That had to be a rough go. Good job working her through it.

It seems that you are more accepted as a rooster than I am! That is a lot of squatting! 😁
