The monster egg turned out to be just that. A monster egg. No double yolk but a big yolk.
The shell was thinnish in some areas and thickish in others.
Does anyone think I should be doing anything (I mean apart from eating it?).

Wasn't feeling up to par today so I was inside at the normal front yard time, the ladies started calling me, first time in months they have done this
In another couple of months when they yell every minute I am not outside I will feel different

While we didn't get any snow this year, the upside is being able to harvest a bunch of mustard greens for my soup pot

Its nice when they can work without direct supervision a little. At least they know their duties!

Girls can be roosters, too.

Sunshine, Flo, Flash, Dorothy, Minnie, Roxy, Little Mill, Lucky, occasionally Buttercup and even Bridge are squatting for me! Only Ruby, Ester and Cashew are not. Oh, and Dorothy laid a shelled egg yesterday. I’ll do calcium a couple more days.

You buried the headline! I'm so happy for Dorothy. That had to be a rough go. Good job working her through it.

It seems that you are more accepted as a rooster than I am! That is a lot of squatting!
