As far as stress outside of work, it’s just a wake-up call that I am responsible for my own happiness and I know there a certain people I cannot count on. It’s better to really have a firm understanding of that now instead of later.

That can be a hard lesson to learn and a tough reminder from time to time.

I forgot to add this photo from the Easter Show. It was one of the art entries.
This is consolation for not getting to see many of the chickens. Youngest took the photo because they thought my chicken friends and I might enjoy it.

It’s really no different than it has been the past several years. I think it’s just that I got to the breaking point. I’ll be fine. I’ve been a rock for many, many years and now will be no different. I just had a patch of weakness. Tried to lean on someone I should be able to lean on, but instead was faced with defensiveness, anger and accusations. Ego is a very powerful thing, sadly.

They say stress reveals character. Sadly you have learned theirs the hard way.

What a stellar painting. Very inspiring to me. I'm a more stylized artist, but this is real cool and I might attempt something like this in the future. I do have some spare canvas...

I hear a rat chewing away inside the (house) wall. Gross. I’ll have to start putting chicken feed away each night again.

That's not cool. Dry ice works great though if you know where they are hanging out.
