Piscia has lost several of her larger tail feathers.

She doesn't seem to be getting pecked, is eating and pooping fine, and I'm not seeing any evidence of mites or anything.

Has anyone had (or heard of) a ~12 wk old chicken experience a very young tail specific molt?

I've attached a pic from today with her tail circled and one from 4 days ago when it was fuller.
The Buckeyes had various molts going on all the time as pullets. It was like that, feathers getting replaced, going and coming at different times, not a specific whole-body molt.

I use vittles vaults for chicken feed. They hold a ton of feed and are very durable.
What are they? I'm going to look this up right now. I need something inside because it's very cold here at night and we have a nice size coop but don't want to add more holes for hanging but there is a shelf I can use.

I've missed out on a lot. I've been pretty sick. Started last Thursday. I should have gone in for help sooner. I got pretty dehydrated, couldn't stand up from nearly passing out. Had to call son home from work. My heart was staring to act up too, I have had two heart ablations for irregular heartbeat. My heart said ..fluid..I need fluid! 😁. Two big ol bags did the trick. I was still a bit low, but I needed to get home. My son had gone home to stay with my husband. Boy, having fluid in your body sure does miracles for you. I'm still weak, but getting better. I did this same stomach thing last year, very same. . I see feather had a problem. Man, glad you're doing better! Burns are soooo painful. . Like you don't know! I'm sorry you had to go through that. Hoping it's better every day. Will pray that it will. 💞
Hello :) I'm not advertising but read your problem and I always keep fluids near my bed. My friend bought me a little cup that is easy to grip but just found another solution that may be helpful for you. Fluids are a must you should always stay re-hydrated https://www.completecareshop.co.uk/drinking-aids/drinking-bottles/

A friend was telling me after I posted that mice usually do not like to chew through plastic. I can't fault them for that. I'm trying to get hold of an storage compartment for these bins. :)
Depending on where you are storing it - squirrels will chew through plastic. Just sayin'!

Regardless of my hand injury, I must fly my service route today, and besides, I miss flying. I had no sleep, but both properties are fed and watered. I like the kid I hired to do so! I’ll take a power nap before I go to the hanger and proof my plane
I found a colloidal silver cream online. Please look it up. No, you shouldn't fly right now anything could happen. Is there anyone else that could fly for you?
