Oh my gosh. Absolutely beautiful, both of them!!! I can't decide which I like best!I am happy to say that I am FINALLY caught up! Hopefully I won't have any more long absences from BYC so that I can keep up with the thread!
I enjoyed reading through everyones updates and flockservations. I'm sorry that some of you had injured chickens or had to go through chicken losses these past couple of weeks*hugs*
Also, @featherhead007 I hope that your hand is healing okay.
Also, just wanted to share some cute photos with all of you... because who doesn't love seeing cute photos of mama hen & baby?!

Fantastic and congrats to the girls at the Acres.History is Made
Yesterday was a historic day at Fluffy Butt Acres. We set a new record for eggs produced in one day. 6 beautiful gifts from my ladies. For the first time Phyllis and Lilly laid on the same day! Just amazing. I believe that while it may be tied, this record will never be broken. Congratulations ladies.![]()

Kiddo had 6 of the 7 on the hammock with him yesterday! They adore him ❤I wish my chickens would get on the hammock with me. I need to encourage this.![]()
Tegan, my red Faverolle was acting broody for about four days and then gave it up.I had Penny, an ISA, go broody for 2 days. I would lift her out of the nest box, shut the coop door and she would tuk tuk tuk all day, not happy with me.
She broke easy from what I’ve read on this thread, she mustn’t have been too dedicated![]()
Maybe if only one, perches lonely on the bottom , maybe the spirit of my BLU sits beside her. Because he certainly isn’t here. The flock has decided.
Whip is the lowest in pecking order.they don't let her roost on the high bars in the coop at night. She is relegated to the low bars.
I know someone has to be at the bottom, I just wish it didn't have to be anyone at all. Can't they collectively have an imaginary friend to be subject to this instead?
