I know all too well about plans changing and keeping more then you initially intended. But with all the heartache you've experienced so far this spring if all 5 are girls you've earned it. 5 is also a good number. To be honest if you just kept 2, they will become super bonded with each other, and as you have saw things happen and if one passed you have a very lonely and depressed chick/chicken. You really need if possible to keep at least 3, but 5 is better. Chicken math is real, and I will not say my number now.

I agree. To me 3 is a minimum because of the danger in losing one. I went through it too many times.
 
Can you post a photo of them? They may be called something else here.
