Everyone, a miracle is in the process of happening. I just went to candle Henrietta's eggs and remove the turner when I heard it. One of her eggs has internally pipped and was clearly heard cheeping when I opened the lid. Instead of candling since there was no bad smell I just removed the turner and upped the humidity. Now I wait, on pins and needles. Considering what has happened with these eggs any that hatch will be little miracles.
Oh, this is exciting! Fingers and toes are crossed! ❤️

Since they were locked into the complex for a few days, Phyllis has abandoned her nest in the planter and is using the nest box again. I caught her on nest cam sharing a nest box with someone. Imagine my surprise when I saw who it was!

Lilly Delivers

Wow to both! Sounds like a great day all around!

Hi friends. I forget who was asking about my Opolar (www.opolar.com) recharging fans, but they are having a 50% off summer sale! I just bought two more 8-inch clip fans, which I use to help ventilate the coop, and two more 8-inch misting fans, which have been getting more use by humans so far.

I can personally vouch for these fans. They will go all night long ventilating the coop. Since they hold charge for a long time, they also take a long to charge up, which is why I keep a few. :)

I'm Crushed

and not just for myself. I just got notice that there will be no Frizzled Polish coming to live with Phyllis. A dog got into the area where she kept them and killed 12 of the 18 chickens before they could get control of it. I'm both sad for her and myself. I was going to pick them up in the next two weeks. I should have taken them straight run. I could have saved 2 lives maybe. 😭
This is so sad Bob, those poor chooks. I’m sorry you won’t be getting your new babies as planned but hoping a new opportunity to do so will present itself.

Bad news about flying to Hawaii from San Diego: my airplane won’t be able to make that flight. Even the fuel needed (with an additional tank) and extra weight for it, is just not possible. I’m going to pick up my sister in San Diego, then fly to Seattle. Then we all will take his yacht for the ocean cruise. (Waiting for my brother to tell me when he’s ready) oh well. :idunno
Note: no fueling stations in the open Pacific Ocean (go figure) :gig
I was wondering how you'd carry the fuel 🤔

Oh Bob! I'm sorry. You were so looking forward to it.
