Much cuter than accidental recordings of my phone be tossed around in a bag and the awful angle of surprised face when I realize what's happening and the exclamatory words during fumble of trying to turn the darn thing off.
See? It's that Red headed temper of yours! (What's not to love about that?) :hugs

This is too much. 😆

The heater for my pool failed and I had to have someone come out to service it. He was startled by the chickens but settled in to work. All of them steered clear of him except Phyllis. She wanted to know what he was doing and assist.

He could not fix it the first day and when he came back he was ready for the chickens and Phyllis in particular. He kept commenting on how cool she was. 😎

You must make certain that your coop and run are fox proof for sure now. Any free ranging will be complicated. How are you managing it @RoyalChick
Mine are confined to the secure Chicken Palace complex unless I am in the vicinity. The Chicken Palace is plenty spacious so I don't feel too bad. If I am in the general vicinity I let them into their yard - which is fenced but only with deer netting, so not securely - it is mainly to stop the ladies wandering off to even more scary areas and to buy a few seconds against a fox (which are very opportunistic). That is also a big area so probably feels a bit like free ranging. Often I sit in that area with them.
The plan is to hot wire the entire perimeter of that fence which will also not be foolproof but hopefully will buy a bit more time against a passing fox.
The only time they truly free-range is if I plan to be gardening for a few hours in which case I hope my presence would scare off a fox and in any case the ladies like my company so they always follow me around helping. The main problem with this is that if I need to go inside even for a minute or two I have to lead them back to their yard.
