Anyway, how is everybody? I hope you've all stayed well. I have missed you all and it is my intention to be around a bit more than of late.
I have tried, but trying to do BYC on a mobilephone as I move around proved more than my patience could bear and I was in danger of trashing the phone.
I'm here in Bristol for a while now barring a visit to my elder sister in a few days to get told off for what I taught her chickens last time I ws there. Apparently they now think that they are officially entitled to walnuts and a bit of fish from time to time.
The diet I set for my sisters eldest hen Freya, seems to have worked and she has even decided to lay the occasional egg as a sign of appreciation.
My sister is delighted so perhaps I wont get too much flack for what is apparently my fault and that's the chickens, one in particular thinks she should have house access.

I can't imagine whose fault that could be.:p
Hey Shad, it’s good to have you back. My four are good; they stopped laying for winter, but Nyssa and Charlie have started again. Because we have been back in lockdown for the last five weeks, DH has been working from home so the girls free-range all day and are happy.

I love it that one of your sister’s chooks thinks she should be a house-chicken! You should do everything to encourage that. :D

Sylvie is Gone

Phyllis is still keeping her warm. I noticed that Phyllis was not moving around this morning and when I checked the chick was dead.

I assume i need to take the body from her but I thought I'd check and see if it is better if she leaves it on her own.
Oh NO!!!! :hit That is so sad, I thought she was going to be ok! I’m so sorry Bob, your heart must be breaking all over again. :hugs:hugs:hugs

I have no words :hit
Yes I do. I feel like hell, wanting to hear good news about the little one today. Only to find out that she is also dead. I’m actually angry about the whole situation. Poor broken hearted Phyllis. I hope that she isn’t permanently traumatized by all of this.
