Sylvie is Gone

Phyllis is still keeping her warm. I noticed that Phyllis was not moving around this morning and when I checked the chick was dead.

I assume i need to take the body from her but I thought I'd check and see if it is better if she leaves it on her own.

Oh no. That is so terrible. Poor, poor Phyllis. Poor you and Mrs. BY Bob.
What a shock. She seemed to have turned the corner. They sure are fragile when they are young.
I can't even fully register this or express the right feelings so I will shut up and just send these to all of you.

I need to step away everyone. It's been too much.

Eve is here to see the chicks. So I am going to take advantage of that and spend the weekend concentrating on her.

I will likely be back on Sunday night.

Clever idea. Turns out the young ladies learned on their own by copying the big Princesses.

When my girls figured out the nipple waterer, there was a mad rush to try it out with pullets shoving each other away to get their turn. There are four nipples, but only one was worth fighting for!

In Bobs absence, I hope you all don’t mind if I stick around (The situation with the chicks touched me pretty hard too) but I need support as well and you friends can do it. Yes I have my Jaffar emotional support rooster, but it’s a waiting list for me to sit on his counseling couch.
