It's cruel too the people that have been stung by these creatures. Just sayingFascinating, but probably a little cruel at the same time.

Love number 3 as a picture. The Buckeyes alerted me last night to a bad mistake I made yesterday! I hadn't closed up the back of the coop after cleaning the roost bars and tray in the afternoon. So the "secure" coop and run had an opening vulnerable to aerial predators through there! I had been distracted by something and never went back to it and didn't see it as it's on the end of the complex.
Somebody started the escort call shortly after their usual roost time, about 8:35. That was unusual to hear. I always go to see them when I hear it, whenever, or any other sudden sound, so out I went with a flashlight (its pretty dark in the woodsy part of the yard then). Yikes! They were up in the coop but grouped as far away from the open back as possible. I'm so glad they told me to come and check! Thank you Buckeyes!
She says you're welcome but please don't do that again!

That's no good. All my plans for today have been cancelledI’m still pretty swollen (and had a pretty hard time sleeping last night)
Bookmarked! Thank you Marie.Ingredients today
Slippery elm, turmeric chilli powder, cloves and cinnamon
Firstly I added slippery elm cinnaman turmeric, chilie power and cloves into a saucepan before adding cold water, too ensure the slippery elm has dissolved as this can become lumpy.
Then I cut a nice chunk of root ginger into thin slices, ( I like to chew a little ginger and a few cloves, they taste lovely when the honey has sweetened them).
Bring everything to boil then lower the heat and leave to simmer for about 20 minutes. When ready pour into a mug leave too cool a little before adding my honey and sometimes lemon to my cup.
I always make sure I have a couple of mugs left over and cover with a plate. Its It's so simple and a very satisfying drink.
This can be taken warm or cold.
This can vary on your personal taste and what you have available. I found over time I wanted more chili others may prefer it without.
Shucks. Thanks Ribh.Thank you.I'd love to see some of your work if you care to share. There are some really talented people on these threads. @Blazinga paints, @Aussie-Chookmum does amazing felting,@LozzyR is a talented musician...etc.,etc
Yes please!Aww, thanks Ribh!I’ve actually branched out and written my first song! I’m just waiting for the session guitarist to send me her audio files, then I’ll do a final mix and master and I’ll upload it to YouTube, if anyone would like to have a listen.
I think it would be very quick. Better than poison imho.Fascinating, but probably a little cruel at the same time.
That's very pretty but I can't help feeling sorry for the ants. You could get your revenge in an educational way Alex.
