She is wrong. Read my article. It is the escort song. She calling to the rooster to come get her as the tribe is no longer where it was when she left it. I frequently play rooster and go gather up Sydney and take her to the rest of the tribe.
Yes I thought it was wrong. Where did she get this idea, I've never come across it before.
And how sweet of you, I am picturing you gathering up Sidney!

Hi everyone, just checking in. I'm sorry I'm late but happy belated birthday Alex. My sister is on the mend finally but I tested positive today. Tuesday evening started feeling like a sinus infection was coming on and honestly that is what it feels like I have. A sinus infection from hades. I'm fully vaccinated and have been since April so hopefully it keeps it at a sinus infection type situation. I have no fever thankfully but my blood sugar levels are slightly elevated, not dangerous though yet. That is going to be the tricky part as of right now, because my doctor insisted I start steroids before it got to my lungs so prescribed a prednisone pack. I know from experience that steroids makes my levels go stupid, so instead of taking them like normal he wants me to only take 2 a day for a week. That way hopefully while it will increase my blood sugars somewhat it wont send me into the 500 plus range which will require hospitalization. Right now they are hovering at 180 to 200 but I'm crossing everything possible that I can manage to keep them below 350. Everyone else in the house is fine so far and are supposed to come off of quarantine next Wednesday, but we will have to see if that gets extended now with my positive result.
Have you been offered or asked about a monoclonal antibody treatment? It is supposed to reduce symptoms and severity of disease when administered early. I don't know if vaccinated people are getting it, but your other potentially complicating health issues would seem to make you a candidate in my opinion.

I really must try it. What I cannot fathom is several of mine yell even if all the other hens are right around them. So I don't know where to escort them!
It doesn't matter, just showing up makes them all quiet down. I think without a rooster they are missing a piece of their natural culture. They need to make the call, and know a rooster is there for them, it seems.

Happy Friday from Phyllis

Peanut butter. They sniff, look at the camera and shrug "you don't fool me" and proceed to eat spilled chicken food off the floor. Sigh.
If I have successfully sealed up the cracks then the rodents I am seeing on the cameras are all trapped inside the Chicken Palace so I need to get rid of them. Of course it is possible that I missed a crack in which case there will be more and more - but I will continue my filming of the outside so I can figure where they get in if they still are.
Live trap, put chicken feed inside
