The Buckeye Bunch - usually one or two take a minute or more and explore whatever I'm wearing each day, and I let them. They don't peck at bare legs, except a freckle or mole, or helpfully get a mosquito off me. But clothes- they will pull at any threads, peck at any spots or fuzz, seams are especially interesting, they pull on sewed-on labels, and they explore all the wrinkles formed when I crouch, and printed patterns, they love patterns! Today I had on shorts with a sort of a houndstooth pattern, and after greeting me two began doing a kind of wiping peck/push on the wrinkles. It is definitely friendly, and I like that they are comfortable being close to me. Sometimes in the past they have pecked my bare skin but they stop when I object, they haven't done it in a while. No idea what they get out of the whole ritual, except maybe that's what it is, a greeting ritual.Wear a knight in armor suit. I don’t know why you are getting attacked in the first place![]()
But the fluff is really silky looking in this picture, like a cloud at sunset. Beautiful!

Sounds like love to me. Mine attack the buttons on any clothing I wear. I also have chicken clothes, and regular clothes. (And only church clothes for Sunday) They mean no harm, they are just showing the attention, that they want to receive from you.The Buckeye Bunch - usually one or two take a minute or more and explore whatever I'm wearing each day, and I let them. Are you telling them they do home delivery AND pickup? They are stubborn hens, and what ever works for me to get the point across, I will use.
Bo's thinking " What's KFC, What's El Pollo Loco?" (They don't get out much)![]()
Actually, the boys named her after an avatar one of them had for a game many years ago...a penguin, and Pingu reminded us of a little penguin as a tiny chickI assume she was named after the Swiss animated penguin.

She really is a looker. You need to teach her to do the runway. Then you can think about putting her in the Phyllis category.
Why, do they always run away from the front fence, when a Foster Farms truck drives by? Nuff said! Are you telling them they do home delivery AND pickup?![]()
