Mr. Blue Sky

Today here in central PA is simply incredible. Usually at this time of the year the temperature is no higher than the mid 20s F (-4C). Today it is 63F, (17.2C) and sunny. I am writing this from my deck with a light jacke on, unzipped. Crazy but I am loving it! I got home in time to let the ladies out into the yard. This time is was ready with my camera. Hattie was not first Lilly beat her to it, but here is the Squeeze to get out.

When you have been cooped up without access to the outside for a while, you might be a little stinky. This is the first thing everyone wanted to do upon exit of the house.

So after that beautiful weekend, we're having a cold snap here in California! I think we'll dip a few degrees below freezing tonight. My coop is pretty open and it is not insulated. They'll be fine, right? Wearing down coats and all?

Oh, and guess what? I'm pretty sure Ruby is laying. I'm keeping close watch, since she fell ill last year and going on hormones (to stop laying and give her oviduct a breatk) was part of her treatment.

Freezing tonight here also in AZ. and tomorrow night is supposed to be a hard freeze. My attached run is pretty open, but they can go inside of the coop and cuddle together to stay warm if they need to. They will be ok.

Also got freezing temperatures and the “s” word here today. They will be fine. As long as they are dry and have shelter from the wind they seem to be able to keep warm. Most of the awful white stuff has melted (you can have it back, thanks @BY Bob!) , but there was some frost and crunchy vegetation when I finished up the painting tonight. On another note... the ads here are now trying to sell me contractor sized pails of paint, in addition to the mattresses, boats, and dairy equipment they are usually pushing. Naughty phone has been spying on me again!

I think both issues are the same place. Check your account details. There is an email options box. I just unchecked mine. Hopefully that will stop the emails. If you look further down you will find custom title. That is your tag line.

Thanks for the lesson! I'm so technologically unadvanced, I'd never have figured that out! No computers, no cell phones, and no clue how to navigate some of this stuff on my tablet. Thank goodness for chicken t.v. or I'd have no entertainment at all!
