Try telling her she's a bitsa or tiny one, she thinks she's an eagle or tiger even. She's a baby to amber and does exactly what she's told. As for me well I'm just the unpaid servant.

I’m setting up a special bank account just to take care of Chaco. She’s going to need as much care as my chickens do. I’m going back there today to get her a checkup with the local bovine veterinarian. Does horses too.

I remembered about Dora but I thought Twirp looked the part.

She's a very beautiful hen!

They both looked very similar and if I could only see head/breast, I had to watch movement/head height to tell. Helen (my Phoenix, also killed) had the same problem extended to the back feathers with Twirp. She had blue legs and a very delicate/petite build. Twirp is getting some dark feathers in on her head, so I'm hoping they're crest feathers (some legbars seem to get them late). The sapphires are supposed to be crested too, but haven't popped them yet either.

The previous batch of chicks (included Mamaa nd Rusty) had a mystery chick included only one that was all yellow, and obviously not one of the specified breeds ordered. He was promptly dubbed Mystery (and yes was a roo). Turned out I had 6 roos in that bunch, plus buster, so we planned on eating most of them. Rusty and 1 other giant were not put in the freezer. Didn't see crest on mystery either and he was 5 months when we eliminated.
