Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock

I know it's fluffy butt friday, but I did a little photoshoot with the silkies. I finally figured out to keep them from running around like crazy and being fuzzy blobs when pictured. Place them in a tree! Poppy and Lil Bit thought I had lost my mind but Branch is a little ham. He posed for me and stayed in the tree until I removed him. They are 4 months old in 4 days and these 3 have me wrapped around their extra toes.

I’m pretty sure that Beethov-Hen is starting to lay again. She hasn’t laid one egg in over a year. But, she’s squatting for me, her comb is bright red again, and her voice sounds kinda broody.

There is a golf ball in that box. If she’s broody, and wants to hatch a golf ball (Tiger Woods would be proud)

Sleepy Legertha

Watch as Legertha fights off sleep as Sylvie grooms. Then I startle them by talking through the camera. Sylvie's headdress is pretty silly right now.

I love seeing updates on Legertha and Sylvie! I enjoy following along on their journey and being able to watch them grow

Oops. Here I am replying to old posts again. LOL! I think somebody else does it and then I get duped.

Frequently me...at least I'm now only a couple of months behind.

Only if you don't have a mouse hunting cat...or the dog takes on those duties too.
