Please educate me. Why prick your egg before boiling? My dad used to say to prick the flat end because that's where the air sac is. Did he have that wrong? Maybe it doesn't matter which end is pricked?
I once taught a friend to prick her eggs before boiling them and when she came back from an overseas holiday, she brought me an egg pricker! I've still got it somewhere. It looks like this.

That is truly flattering. You must make them feel truly safe. There's approximately 45 feral chickens that visit my yard on a daily basis. Around 10 of them (including Chickadee) choose to live in my backyard and roost in the trees. They are free to come and go as they please, but choose to call my backyard their homeIt's flattering to know that of all the places they could live, they choose to stay here.
Is Fret not a Legbar, too?Fret in a hole having a bath. One of the Legbars Fax I think stood by for the entire time. She's very timid is Fret.

So you think she may be done laying then? That would be quite early too be done. She’s from the same batch of chicks as Dorothy; she’s 2 1/2. Bridge is the same breed from the same hatchery and stopped young, too.
I hope not. That doesn’t seem super healthy. So you think she may be done laying then? That would be quite early too be done.

It does not and worries me. However if she has gone that long without laying and not displayed any symptoms I'm not certain what else it could be. Whatever is the cause, it does not seem to be really harming her.I hope not. That doesn’t seem super healthy.
