Hi everyone, been a bit since I've been on. Spent a hour reading and playing catch up. It's good to hear that for the most part everyone is well. Hope you recover soon RC from the inner ear issues, those are definitely no fun. I'm also sorry to hear about Volt shad, if it is to be her time at least she got to live the end of it under your care and got to experience normal chicken behavior. I've been experiencing one of the many drawbacks to covid, after you have had it and recovered your immune system is shot. The past week and a half dealt with walking pneumonia. Last Saturday my breathing was so bad that any other time I would have went to the ER, in fact I considered it. But Covid is still so rampant at the hospitals that I toughed it out. The last thing I needed was to get it again on top of the pneumonia. I think I'm finally over it just weak and a nagging cough. I finally went out today and spent some time with the chickens this afternoon. I could tell they missed me and I was mobbed, even by the blue girls who have gotten bold enough to come peck at my sweatshirt sleeves and fingers. Branch was so happy to see me that when he was in my lap instead of settling right down he proceeded to yell at me for a good 5 minutes. Afterwards he took a nap in his favorite spot, my arms.
It is great to be missed, isn't it. I'm so sorry that you have not been feeling well and glad to hear that you are getting well again. You have been missed here. :hugs :hugs
