She's got character! So does Lima! Names? Still working on those? What about after rugby players or wrestlers or teams if there's a scrum every time you arrive? Can you do a colored leg ring until you can tell them apart? (and put on all the birds if you think they're going to pick on the ones with markers)
I'm not keen on leg rings. What I am considering is food dye stripes somewhere obvious.
Don't know any teams. Never been a team player type.:p

I got lucky that night. They posed on the roost and I HAD MY PHONE WITH ME! Frequently I don't bring it along when closing the coop.

Languages are challenging simply because they're in constant flux. Add in not being immersed and the difficulty skyrockets. honestly, if you want to learn another language, go live where you're surrounded by the language. (Kids pick up language with ease: after around age 12 we lose that ability: has to do with brain development)
Hang on. I'm confuzzeld. Are you speaking to the chickens in another language on the phone!:th

Bob - where do you see dusts that are DE? TSC and Amazon both lead with a permethrin dusts.
This is the TSC one for example:

This.
WARNING: Precautionary Statements Hazards to Humans (and Domestic Animals) HUMANS: Harmful if inhaled; Avoid breathing dust; Avoid contact with eyes or clothing; Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before smoking or eating

While chickens may not be human and apparenlty are not considered as domestic creatures by the makers, they do have lungs.

25% Permethrin is an incredibly strong concoction.
The spray I've just bought is 0.49% and the mites and lice fall off on contact.

Amp was euthanised early this morning. This time the timing was better. She had two very bad days and it was over. I wish this was the way for many more.
She had a very comfortable night in the broody coop with two others to keep her company. I fed her scrambled egg and tiny pieces of fish laced with half a junior asprin yesterday and made sure she had clean water and clean beeding.
21 left now out of 25 a couple of months ago.
Two more still on the watch list. One I think I can save, the other maybe not.

The white parts of their tails (and the tails are usually visible) should take temporary dye pretty well. Kool Aid fades out, comes in several colors and takes to human hair pretty well. Maybe try a couple of loose feathers (both red and white) just to see if it sticks and what the color does. Then you can paint the tips.
