Wonderful. Winter has arrived.

Sarcasm alert? Or it was in two parts, chickens good, Winter not so good! I was still working on the windbreakers yesterday, I don't have a system set to go and moved parts twice getting the most effective arrangement. Very windy and 28F! For me it's a seesaw of loving the work and worrying about it. But I really enjoyed tinkering out there with the chickens' company. That's the best.

I’m OK. I am just so sad for Bob and Mrs Bob. They both have such big hearts and this will hit them hard.

X2, I am sad for both Bob and Mrs Bob, DH and I know this scenario, it happened with us with a cat. Wish I could take their pain away. Wishing them strength and peace.

BY Bob and Mrs. BY Bob you both have my deepest sympathies for the far too soon loss of Legertha. My heart has broke this morning reading of her passing. If there can be any silver lining in this tragedy, and I fully understand it being too soon to look for a silver lining is that now maybe Phyliss will truly get her BFF in sweet Sylvie.

I sure hope so. This really needs to happen now or all this tragedy is for nothing.

Butter we need to have a talk. It's the middle of November and a lovely 28 degree's currently and you choose now to molt. Dare I even mention that the weather man is forecasting snow. 10 minutes before these pictures were taken and she came off the roost she had 3 tail feathers left. Those were lost with her first shake of the morning.
